What is the S4CCC?

The S4CCC virtual conference is designed for multidisciplinary CCC leaders worldwide. Our goal is toidentify good practices and propose solutions to the challenges faced by cleft professionalsin resource-constrained settings. Interdisciplinary Solution Groups (SGs) complete research that shapes the recommendations presented across four Roundtables on March 20.

What is a Solutions Group?

A Solutions Group (SG) is a diverse, interdisciplinary group of 8-15 global cleft professionals convened to consider and recommend key topical guidelines for LMIC cleft teams pursuing a Comprehensive Cleft Care (CCC) approach.

SGs engage in a time-limited “sprint” process to collectively prepare and facilitate a 75-minute Roundtable, followed by publishing guideline recommendations. The 2-month SG sprint process includes:

Quality Care for Mothers and Newborns: Cleft Within the Big Picture

What can we learn from a systemic picture of care quality for infants and families in resource constrained contexts? What do we know about the situation for newborns with diagnosed or undiagnosed difficulties after they leave the hospital or clinic? How might the cleft care community helpfully position its solutions-focused work within these wider themes?

Join Dr. Taylor as we seek to anchor our S4CCC 2025 discussions within the landscape of LMIC health systems overall.
