S4CCC: Propelling Learning
Through Collaborative Research
37 cleft professionals drawn from 7 disciplines and hailing from 23 countries stepped forward as Solutions Group (SG) members. Inspired by the momentum generated at the CLEFT 2022 conference in Edinburgh (UK), their task was to develop and test practical recommendations for moving Comprehensive Cleft Care forward in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).
Conference Report
The diverse interdisciplinary Solutions Groups applied sprint methodology over eight weeks to research, develop and test hypotheses, and prepare to facilitate a global Roundtable discussion at the S4CCC: Propelling Learning Through Collaborative Research virtual conference. S4CCC: Covid & Beyond
Over 120 cleft professionals from around the globe came together to collaborate and generate solutions for delivering Comprehensive Cleft Care (CCC) in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) amidst COVID and beyond.
Conference Report
Constraints spur innovation. Beyond what was the heart-rending impact of COVID-19 in Low and Middle Income Country (LMIC) contexts, cleft professionals discovered and adapted to new ways of supporting families in overcoming the limitations of cleft lip and palate. Building upon our global survey of CCC professionals, Solutions Groups (SG) presented the practical findings and recommendations you will find in this report.

On September 17, 2020 over 140 participants from around the globe actively engaged in a conference experience designed to build connections between cleft professionals and generate solutions to delivering CCC in low and middle income contexts amidst COVID.
